Deborah has 20 years of experience working with collectors in the international art market to build and manage significant art collections. In 2019, she founded Deborah Gunn Art Advisory and Collection Management to provide comprehensive advisory services and serve as a dedicated advocate for collectors.

For over a decade Ms. Gunn was Associate Director Art Finance at Vulcan Inc, working with the Paul G. Allen collection. In her role she was responsible for acquisitions and deaccessions, and for overseeing all aspects of collection management including global collection care and installations. Deborah also served as Senior Advisor to the Faurschou Foundation where she conducted due diligence, advised on major acquisitions and auction strategy, and oversaw the build-out and operational launch of the Faurschou New York exhibition space. She currently serves on the Investment Committee of Arte Collectum, a Swedish art investment fund, where she evaluates and acquires works for the fund’s portfolio.

A recognized authority on art market finance and collection management, Ms. Gunn has spoken at conferences in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East and contributed to Deloitte’s Art & Finance Report. She holds degrees from the University of Oregon and the Sorbonne (Paris V), and an MBA from Seattle University, with additional training from Maastricht University, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and NYU Executive Education. She is a member of the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Professional Art Advisors.
